Located on one of Britain's most scenic racecourses, this south facing site offers stunning views of the Northumbrian countryside. It's perfect for a peaceful escape or as a base to explore the area, with Hexham Abbey just a short walk away. The site features 40 grass pitches, most with electric hook-ups. Seasonal pitches are available for longer stays. 

The site provides a well-equipped amenity building, which includes separate ladies' and gents' toilets and showers, as well as accessible toilet and shower facilities to cater for guests with additional needs. For added convenience, there is also a laundry room featuring a washing machine and a spin dryer. Families travelling with children will appreciate the dedicated play area, which is furnished with swings, a climbing frame, and a roundabout, offering safe and enjoyable recreational opportunities.

For those eager to explore further afield, a drive of approximately 20 minutes brings you to the starting point of Northumberland National Park. The location is perfect for walking, cycling, and stargazing, either on the site itself or at the renowned Kielder Dark Sky Observatory. Additionally, visitors can drive to Kielder Water in less than an hour, where a range of water sports can be enjoyed.

Directions to Hexham Racecourse Camping and Caravan Park

From Carlisle on the M6 join the A69 towards Brampton, Haltwistle and Haydon Bridge. At Hexham turn right onto B6305. Turn left onto Yarridge Road. Turn right to site. From Newcastle on the A69 continue to Hexham and then as above.
