Alan Rogers Review of Gatton Waters Caravan Park
Gatton Waters Caravan Park is an adult-only touring and seasonal caravan site set in 24 acres of Norfolk countryside. It is just 5 minutes from the Sandringham Estate and a short drive from the North Norfolk Coast. The site has 78 grass pitches with 16-amp metered hook-up points available. It also has its own well-stocked 8-acre coarse fishing lake, stocked with carp, roach, rudd, perch, bream and tench and is surrounded by beautiful woodlands, footpaths and wildlife.
The site also has four toilet and shower blocks, which are newly refurbished to ensure a comfortable stay. Gatton Waters is also a dog-friendly site that offers free office Wi-Fi during office hours.
If you’re into birdwatching, you should take the half-hour drive to Scolt Head Island National Nature Reserve, an area of salt marshes and sand dunes populated by terns, plovers and wintering geese. Alternatively, if a day at the seaside is preferred, maybe at sandy Brancaster Beach (25 minutes), Holkham Beach (40 minutes), or Blakeney Point, which is known for its seal colony. Want to catch a spectacular Norfolk sunset? Head to Snettisham Beach (20 minutes).
There are a couple of pubs just a five-minute drive away, including The Union Jack in Congham and the Folkes Arms in Hillington, and for groceries, there's a small Londis a 15-minute walk (2-minute drive) away or a larger Asda a ten-minute drive away.

Directions to Gatton Waters Caravan Park
Driving East along the A148 Cromer Road from the Knights' Hill roundabout, continue for about 4 miles until you have passed the sign posted turn to West Newton on the left. After another 100 yards or so along the main road you will see Caravan Park signs directing you to turn left to the site. Having turned left on to the feeder road, you quickly come to a country lane again on the left, where after another 200 yards you will be led off to the right through the gate. This will take you to the reception. If after driving on the A148 you reach the B1440 turn to Sandringham Road or the village of Hillington, you've gone too far.
