Alan Rogers Review of Flower of May Holiday Park
Situated on the cliff tops, 4.5 miles from Scarborough and 2.5 miles from Filey, Flower of May is a large, family owned park for both touring caravans, caravan holiday homes and four Glamping Pods. The entrance to the park is very colourful and the reception office is light and airy. The park is licensed for 300 touring units of which 200 are fully serviced. The touring pitches are pretty level, arranged in wide avenues, mainly on grass and divided by shrubs. The range of leisure facilities grouped around reception includes an indoor pool with areas for both adults and children and a jacuzzi.
The main building has two squash courts, ten-pin bowling, table tennis and amusement machines. The leisure centre is also open to the public (concessionary rates for campers) but during high season is only available to local regulars and the caravanners and campers on the park. There are cliff walks down to the beach but for those less able there is an easier walk down from a car park a mile away. Riverside Meadows at Ripon and Rosedale Country Caravan Park near Pickering and Goosewood near York are under the same ownership.

Three toilet blocks, all refurbished, provide showers and washbasins in both cabins and vanity style. Baby rooms. Accessible Facilities. Laundry room. Well stocked and licensed shop. Two modern bar lounges, one for families and one for adults only, with discos in season. Café and takeaway fish and chips. Games room with TV. Large adventure playground. Indoor swimming pool. Skateboard ramps. Basketball. Dog exercise area, but numbers and breeds are limited (one per pitch). WiFi throughout the park (charged). Funfarm indoor play area.
