Alan Rogers Review of Flower Camping les Ondines
Souillac is a picturesque town lying between the Dordogne and Lot. It is just a five minute walk from les Ondines to the town’s attractive pedestrianised centre where there are many cafés, restaurants and shops, as well as an abbey and, unusually, a robotic toy museum! There are 229 grassy and well-sized touring pitches, all with 6A electricity. The site has recently been completely refurbished and now includes a new, heated swimming pool. In peak season, various activities are organised, including a children’s club. The site lies on the banks of the Dordogne and canoe rental is available nearby.
Les Ondines is a good base for other sports, notably mountain biking and walking with many excellent footpaths close at hand. The region’s prehistoric caves are, of course, world renowned, and the Grottes de Lacave are amongst the more popular. A little further afield, the Gouffre de Padirac and the pilgrimage site of Rocamadour are both highly recommended.

Three modern toilet blocks provide all necessary facilities, including those for babies and accessible facilities. Washing machine and dryers. Motorhome services. Snack bar (1/5-31/8). Heated outdoor swimming pool (1/5-15/9). Fishing. Pétanque. Play area. Communal barbecue. Activity and entertainment programme (July/Aug). WiFi throughout (free). Mobile homes and tents to rent.
Directions to Flower Camping les Ondines
Approaching from the north, leave the A20 motorway at exit 55 and head for Souillac. Drive through the town and, 500 m. beyond the traffic lights, turn right following signs to les Ondines and Quercyland. Continue to follow signs to the site.
