This site sits in a delightful, tranquil valley among the foothills of the Pyrenees and is just east of the interesting village of La Bastide-de-Sérou, beside the River Arize (good trout fishing). The river is fenced for the safety of children on the site, but may be accessed just outside the gate. The 71 large touring pitches are neatly laid out on level grass within the spacious site. All have 6/10A electricity and are mostly separated into bays by hedges and young trees. Full services are available to some pitches with access to a small toilet block.
You will receive a warm welcome from Dominique and Brigitte at this friendly little family site, and Brigitte speaks excellent English. Discounts have been negotiated for several of the local attractions (details are provided in the comprehensive pack provided on arrival – in your own language). This is a comfortable and relaxing base for touring this beautiful part of the Pyrenees within easy reach of the medieval town of Foix and even Andorra for duty-free shopping. Deer and wild boar are common in this area and may be sighted in quieter periods. Printed walking and cycling maps are available.
