La Clairière is a family site located within the vast Landes forest, a few kilometres from the region’s famous sandy beaches. The site was acquired by its current owners in 2006 and has seen an impressive programme of improvements since then. The 75 touring pitches are large (100 sq.m), well shaded and have 10A electrical connections. A selection of fully equipped mobile homes and bungalow style tents are available to rent. On-site amenities include an attractive swimming pool and a convivial restaurant, specialising in Landais cuisine. A fast food and takeaway meal service is also available. Cycling is very popular here and a vast network of excellent cycle trails lead through the surrounding forest.

The nearest beach is at Mimizan-Plage. This is a well equipped holiday centre with all the usual services plus good surfing. Just south of the site is Saint Paul-en-Born with basic shops. Further to the south, the stylish resorts of Biarritz and Saint Jean-de-Luz are within reach for a day trip, and the great city of Bordeaux also richly merits a visit with its superb shopping opportunities, cultural heritage and museums. The Dune de Pyla on the coast is worth climbing and provides excellent views towards the Arcashon basin. After a hard day exploring, the new wellness centre on site can offer a relaxing massage.

Three toilet blocks (one new, two awaiting refurbishment) have some washbasins in cabins, free preset showers and accessible facilities. Bar. Restaurant and snack bar. Small shop. Swimming pool. Wellness. Volleyball. Play area. Entertainment and activity programme. Mobile homes and tents to rent.

Directions to Flower Camping la Clairière

Approaching from the north (Parentis-en-Born), take the southbound D652 and D46 as far as Pontenx-les-Forges. Continue on D626 to St Paul-en-Born and follow signs to the site.
