Situated in the rural centre of the island, Fauxquets is in a pretty sheltered valley, hidden down narrow lanes away from busy roads and run by the friendly Guille family. Originally part of a dairy farm, the valley side has now been developed into an attractive campsite. Plenty of ornamental trees, bushes and flowers have been planted to separate pitches and to provide shelter around the various fields which are well terraced.

The 100 pitches are of a good size, most marked, numbered and with 6-32A electricity, offering a choice of pitches for tents and motorhomes. There is lots of open space and some friendly farm animals in surrounding enclosures. The site has fully equipped tents for hire and two comfortable log cabins.

Reception at the entrance includes a small shop, and coffee and drinks are served here. A covered outdoor area provides somewhere to relax (with free WiFi) and a centre for regular organised gatherings with pizza or barbecues. There is plenty of room to sit around the heated swimming pool, including a large grassy terrace with sun beds provided. A car would be useful here to reach the beaches, Saint Peter Port and other attractions, although there is a bus service each day (20 minutes walk). The German Military Underground Hospital is nearby.

Good toilet facilities have controllable showers, some washbasins in private cabins with a shower, baby bath and changing unit. Dishwashing facilities under cover and a tap for free hot water. Laundry room with free irons, boards and hairdryers. Heated swimming pool (13x6 m) with paddling pool (10:00-19:00). Well stocked shop with fresh produce, bread delivered daily, snacks and camping essentials. Off licence. TV and games rooms. Small play area and play field. Farm animals. Bicycle hire arranged. Torches useful. WiFi in reception (free).

Directions to Fauxquets Valley Campsite

From harbour take second exit from roundabout. At top of hill, turn left at ‘filter in turn’ into Queens Road, then right at next filter. Follow straight through traffic lights and down hill past hospital, through pedestrian lights and straight on at next lights at top of hill. Continue for 0.75 miles, then turn right opposite sign for German Hospital. Fourth left is pedestrian entrance, cars carry on for 400 yds. to gravel entrance on left.
