Alan Rogers Review of Fårup Sø Camping
Fårup Sø Camping is a friendly and welcoming family run site next to the beautiful Fårup Lake, a good location for visiting some of Denmark’s best known attractions such as Legoland and the Lion Park. There are 250 grassy pitches, mostly on terraces (from top to bottom the height difference is 53 m). Some have beautiful views of the Fårup Lake. There are 200 pitches for touring units, all with 16A electricity, and some tent pitches without electricity. A heated swimming pool (min. 25°C), a whirlpool (free of charge) and an indoor play area for children are popular, as are the available activities, many associated with the lake.
Next to the top toilet block is a barbecue area with a terrace and good views. A neighbour rents out water bikes and takes high season excursions onto the lake with a real Viking Ship which campers can join. During the last weekend of May, the site celebrates the Jelling Musical Festival when the site is reserved for festival-goers, and tourers are not accepted. This family site is ideal for those who want to enjoy a relaxed holiday on the lakeside beaches or go walking or cycling through the surrounding countryside. Fishing is a very popular activity and rods and bait are available at the shop.

One modern and one older toilet block have British style toilets, washbasins in cabins and controllable hot showers (charged). Family shower rooms. Baby room. Accessible sanitary facilities. Laundry. Campers’ kitchen. Motorhome services. Shop (bread to order). Heated swimming pool and whirlpool. Indoor play area. Playgrounds. Lake with fishing, watersports and Viking ship. Three play areas. From Vejle take the 28 road towards Billund. In Skibet turn right towards Fårup Sø, Jennum and Jelling and follow the signs to Fårup Sø.
