ECO River Camp is a small, private and intimate campsite in the midst of a big meadow, bordering the river Sava on one side and the wide alpine forest on the other. Combining pristine, untouched nature with the proximity and accessibility to some of the world’s most known spots nearby, such as Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, Kranjska Gora and the Slovenian capital city Ljubljana makes this incredible campsite so appealing. The site offers 30 pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents, as well as glamping tents and wooden cabins for rental.

This peaceful and relaxing campsite is a nature lovers paradise. Enjoy the melodic bird-song and the gentle river flowing - a welcome respite from the stresses and hurried pace of everyday life. If being active is what you've come to Slovenia for you won't be disappointed. The friendly staff here can organise plenty of activities to make your stay as fun and as hassle free as possible - from bike rental, to activities such as rafting, canyoning, horse-back riding, paragliding, hot air ballooning and full or half day trips around the Julian Alps. They'll even provide a free shuttle service to the start and end locations.

Facilities at ECO River Camp

Wooden structure with solar-powered showers and lavatories that include ecological and natural soaps for general usage. Additional wooden construction with regular toilets. Vintage caravan transformed into a bar serving morning coffee on the river bank or offering evening refreshments by the bonfire. Daily fresh bread delivery. Shared kitchen with stoves and barbeques providing all necessary equipment and a sink. A natural spring for drinking water. Boardgames. Mini library. Volleyball court. Directions to ECO River Camp

Access to this site is narrow in places and as such, it is better suited to those camping or with campervans than to those with larger motorhomes or caravans.

From Austria, Kranjska Gora, Jesenice, Bled, Bohinj to Ljubljana, take the highway A2 (Jesenice – Ljubljana) and leave the highway at the exit Radovljica. At the crossover take a right turn and continue straight for approximately 2 kms until another crossover where you take a right turn at the semaphore (direction: Mošnje, Grad Podvin).

Continue straight through the village of Mošnje, and after leaving the village you will go underneath the highway where you should continue straight for about 500 metres. Soon you will start descending through the woods, reaching the village of Globoko, passing a farm on the right-hand side. Continue straight underneath a bridge. Then take a right turn (direction: Mišače) through a narrow street and cross the river Sava by a bridge on your left side. After crossing the bridge, you will see the signboard for ECO River Camp Globoko, which leads you right into the forest path.
