The area of the Danube Bend is a major tourist attraction and here at Dömös is a lovely modern, well maintained and presented, friendly, peaceful site with large pitches and easy access. There are 107 quite large pitches, of which 80 have 6A electricity, in sections on flat grass, numbered and divided by small plants and some with little shade. At the top of the site is an inviting open-air swimming pool with a grass lying out area and tiny children’s pool with a large bar with pool tables alongside. Sightseeing tours to Budapest, Esztergom and Szentendre are arranged. The Danube is just over 50 m. away and quite fast flowing.

There are views of the river and the hills on the other bank from some pitches. With Budapest just 45 km, Esztergom (the ancient capital of Hungary) 15 km. and the small town of Visegrad, with its impressive cliff fortress close by, this could make an ideal base from which to explore the whole area.

Facilities at Dömös Camping

The modern, long, brick built sanitary building is tiled with sliding doors and includes large, preset hot showers with individual changing and good facilities for children and accessible facilities. Cooking area. Laundry with washing machines and dryer. Motorhome services. Bar. Restaurant. Small café with terrace. Swimming pool (20x10 m). WiFi on part of site (charged). Small play area on grass. English is spoken.
