Alan Rogers Review of Cosawes Park
This site has been in the same family for three generations since 1960 and has evolved from a simple camping site to a site that now offers a fully serviced hardstand and grass pitches with EHU and a selection of smaller tent pitches with EHU if required.
Upon arrival, you will see the reception building directly ahead with ample parking whilst you check in; this building also houses a well-stocked tourist information centre.
Facilities on the site are excellent - they even hold a ‘Platinum Loo of The Year Awards’, and as you would expect, all are immaculately maintained. There is a large separate field for dog exercise, and the fully serviced pitches have a T.V. connection. These pitches are generous in size and well-spaced apart.
Cosawes Park has just 58 pitches that offer peace and tranquillity. It is an adult-only site with no bar, clubhouse, entertainment or pool, but it has a ‘Gold David Bellamy Award for conservation.
This is a modern site in a great location that offers total relaxation, ideally located for touring South Cornwall, with Truro and Falmouth just a short drive away.
The situation of the park makes it good for visiting both the north and south coasts. Falmouth with its maritime museum is well worth visiting, whilst the north coast is popular for its surfing beaches. Saint Ives, Land’s End and the unique Lizard Peninsula are all within easy reach.
Facilities at Cosawes Park
Excellent, modern block (with ground source heat pump) beside the new serviced pitches provides two en-suite family rooms also with accessible facilities. Toilets, laundry and dishwashing are downstairs, upstairs are showers and washbasins in cubicles. Fish and chips weekly. Dog walking field. Wi-Fi (charged). Walks from site. Caravan & motorhome storage. Duck pond.
