Alan Rogers Review
Clair de Lune, located close to the foot of the Giens peninsula, is a pleasant family site where peace and quiet are the priority. Most pitches are occupied by mobile homes, chalets and tents to rent, leaving just ten pitches reserved for tents only. Touring units are not accepted due to the access of the pitches via steps. The nearest beach is just 600 m. away and the nearby village has a selection of shops and restaurants, and an open-air market is held every Tuesday. To the north lie the hills of the national park, and the campsite staff will be pleased to suggest interesting trails for walking and cycling excursions.
Hyères is a pleasant and stylish town. The larger port city of Toulon is a little further to the west. This is a popular area for ornithology (renowned for its flamingos). Glittering resorts such as Le Lavandou, Cavalaire and St. Tropez are all within easy reach.
