Carsington Fields site is situated close to many local attractions, town and quaint villages for you to discover and visit. Ashbourne is the closest town, with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants to visit. Matlock & Matlock Bath are a short drive or bus ride away and well worth a visit. The site provides a convenient base for walkers, families, couples and cyclists to explore the beautiful scenery of the Derbyshire Dales and the surrounding countryside. The site has 31 grass and hardstanding pitches with 16 amp electric hook-ups. There are also some non-electric pitches available. If you enjoy stately homes, you are in for a treat with Chatsworth, Hardwick Hall, Kedleston Hall, Norbury Manor, Sudbury Hall, Tissington Hall just to name a few within easy drive from the site.

Then a little further away you will find the famous Alton Towers for the ones that like a bit more excitement. Only a few minutes’ walk away is Carsington Water, with some great walking, cycling and sailing. Why not try to find the 14 recently added sculptures that are dotted around the lake on two trails. Matlock Bath is only 7 miles where you can find attractions like the Hights of Abraham where you can experience stunning views of the Derwent Valley, visit their famous caverns plus much more.

Turn right off A517 Belper to Ashbourne road ¼ mile past Hulland Ward into Dog Lane. About ¾ mile turn right (signed Carsington Water). The site is on the right within ¾ mile.
