High above the village of Tristach and 5 km. from Lienz, this is a perfect location for a peaceful and relaxing holiday or as a base for exploring the Dolomite region. Situated amongst giant conifers and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the site offers everyone a view of the volcanic Lake Tristachsee.

The 110 pitches all have 6A electricity (long leads necessary for some) and the 14 pitches for motorhomes near reception each have electricity, water and drainage. Caravans are sited on a gently sloping field that has level areas although pitches are unmarked and unnumbered. At the bottom of this field is the lake which is used for swimming.

There are many opportunities for sporting activities including kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, climbing and paragliding. The more sedate may be happy with walking or golf, both of which can also be found nearby. Younger guests will have great fun exploring in the woods.To the north is the renowned Grosslockenerstrasse mountain road, which offers spectacular views in fine weather. It runs for 25 miles to the summit (there is a charge which is used to maintain the road).

Toilet facilities are clean, heated and modern with free showers. No accessible facilities. Washing machines and dryers. Motorhome services. Shop (July/Aug). Excellent restaurant/bar (June-Sept). Small play area. WiFi (charged). Swimming in adjoining lake. Lakeside games field.

Site is 5 km. east of Lienz. Take the B100 and the B318. 1.5 km. past Tristach, turn right (signed) and climb the steep (1:10) hill for 1 km. to the site.
