Gloria Vallis is a style setter. The 92 terraced pitches are well grassed, level and all have 8A electricity, water and drainage. All have lovely mountain views and young trees provide some shade. The whole site is most attractive with flowers and landscaping. There is an elegant curved restaurant and bar with a spectacular panorama across the valley with its thousands of apple trees and snow capped mountains beyond. Another more casual eating area is across a grass field alongside a small lake which is stocked with fish. A very modern building houses the excellent sanitary facilities and a sympathetically designed, outdoor swimming pool.

The pretty 700-year-old walled village of Glurns is just a short one kilometre walk away. Gloria Vallis guests enjoy discounts at a local health spa and free entry to the nearby indoor swimming pool. The staff are friendly and helpful and good English is spoken. The Austrian Alps are easily accessed by road.

The sanitary block with underfloor heating is equipped to the highest possible standard including showers with basin, WC and hairdryer. Excellent accessible en-suite facilities. Five private rooms for hire (from € 15 per day) with shower, toilet, basin, bidet, hairdryer, safe and music system. Excellent laundry area. Motorhome services. Bar, restaurants and shop (bread can be ordered for the following morning). Outdoor swimming pool. Lake for fishing. Picnic and play area. Internet access.

Location

Glurns/Glorenza is 50 km. west of Merano via the SS38 then the SS40. Follow signs for the Reschenpass. In Sluderno/Sluderns turn west onto the SS41. Site is in 1 km. (signed). Can be approached from north on SS40 from Austria, on good roads.
