Beautifully located in the Dolomites, at a height of just over 1,000 metres, Camping Valle Verde is an attractive family run site. There are 117 level pitches with mountain views, set on shallow, grassy terraces with some tree shade; all have 3A electricity.

From the site, there is plenty of walking in the forests alongside rushing mountain streams enclosed in small rocky canyons, with waterfalls and an abundance of flora and fauna. The site produces its own map of suggested rambling/cycle routes, however, a detailed map of the area is an added advantage.

The comfortable site restaurant, formally an alpine shelter, with its wood-fired pizza oven and terrace, is a very welcoming refuge after a day spent in the mountains.

Predazzo, a winter sport centre just 2 km. from the site is also known for its geological museum and is worth visiting. The main attraction of the region is undoubtedly the scenery and for rambling full use should be made of the cable car and chair lifts to reach the higher more spectacular routes. For added adventure, hang-gliding, rafting and rock climbing are possible locally. Valle Verde and its surroundings is, above all, a location for those who can appreciate nature at its best, a region of rushing streams, birdsong, very big rocks and colourful butterflies fluttering through wooded glades.

Location

Leave Brenner motorway, A22, south of Bolzano, signed Ora. From Ora take SS48 to Calvalese (20 km), then SS232 to Predazzo. Pass the Alpine School of Financial Police then first right signed Bellamonte and Paneveggio. After minigolf take first right to site.
