Alan Rogers Review of Camping Val de Durance
Val de Durance is a camping village and part of the Homair Vacances Group. It is an ideal holiday site for a family with young children yet will also suit a couple wishing to discover Provence or the Luberon National Park. There are 232 pitches with just 36 for touring, all fully serviced with 10A electricity. Pitches are flat and most are shaded and have shrubs and hedges for privacy. The touring pitches are close to reception and the bar, where there is regular evening entertainment, which can be noisy but usually finishes at 10.30pm. This green, 27-acre campsite has its own ten-acre spring water lake and private sandy beach for sunbathing and paddling in the shallow roped area.
Cadenet, a small paradise between Pertuis and Lourmarin, is recognised as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Leaning against a rocky headland overlooking the Durance, it has panoramic view over the Luberon and the Alpilles.
