This first class site on the Dutch coast has 470 pitches with 220 for touring units, the remainder used by seasonal campers, with a number of static units (mostly privately owned). All touring pitches have electricity (10/16A), water, drain and TV aerial point (70-110 sq.m. but car free). Two pitches have private sanitary facilities. The grass pitches are arranged in long rows which are separated by hedges and shrubs, with access from hardcore roads. There is hardly any shade. There are facilities for many activities, including a heated indoor pool, a fitness room and tennis courts. Tempelhof is close to the North Sea beaches (1 km). Member of Leading Campings group.

In high season a full entertainment programme is arranged for children with water games, sports activities and music. Many of these activities take place in the new recreation hall with its stage. With all these activities, you may not want to leave the site other than to go to the beach. However, the site is close to the ferry port of Den Helder where you can catch a ferry to the largest Dutch Island of Texel. Tempelhof is also close to the cheese market in Alkmaar and only 60 km. or so from Amsterdam.

Two modern toilet blocks include washbasins (open style and in cabins) and controllable hot showers (SEP key). Children’s section and baby room. Private bathroom (€ 50 p/w). Accessible Facilities. Fully equipped laundry. Motorhome services. Shop, restaurant, takeaway, bar, indoor heated swimming pool with paddling pool (all 22/3-3/11). Fitness room (€ 2.50). Recreation hall. Climbing wall. From Alkmaar take N9 road north towards Den Helder. Turn left towards Callantsoog on the N503 road and follow site signs.
