Panoramacamping Stadblick is superbly located for visiting Salzburg. From this 70-pitch site with excellent modern sanitary facilities, there are views over the city to Salzburg’s hilltop castle beyond. The city is easily reached, either from a bus stop only a few minutes walk away, or tours can be arranged departing directly from the site. There is also a cycle route to the city.

All the level pitches are on grass-gravel with 6A electricity and are arranged on shallow terraces with a separate area for tents. Fresh bread and breakfast are available from 08.00, warm, homemade Apfelstrudel is an all-day treat, and the cosy restaurant is open from 18.00.

Salzburg is much more than Mozart and The Sound of Music, it is a city with a long and rich and interesting history and there is a great deal to see and do both in the city itself and in the surrounding area.

This family-run site can become quite full in high season and it is best to plan to arrive early or make a reservation. The information available in reception is most useful, however, the best advice comes from the sites helpful, multi-lingual owner, Herr Wörndl. Plan to spend a few days visiting the city, do visit Schloss Hellbrunn and the trick fountains - don’t volunteer to sit on the seats on each side of the stone table!

Directions to Camping Stadtblick

From A1 exit 288 (Salzburg-Nord) turn south towards city. Approaching the first set of traffic lights get into the right hand lane, turn right here on a minor road (site signed) and continue to top of hill, and follow site signs.
