Camping Schwanenplatz is on the shores of Lake Waginger, the warmest lake in upper Bavaria and is particularly popular with boaters and anglers. The Waginger Lake District stretches along the eastern Chiemgau and thus borders on the neighbouring Berchtesgadener Land and the Salzkammergut. Families with children and couples appreciate the varied leisure activities and the private beach.

The dog-free site offers a wide range of sports and leisure activities. The site has 233 grass/hardstanding pitches, of which 151 are for touring units and have 10-amp electricity hook-up points. Most of the touring pitches are equipped not only with electricity but also with water and sewage connections. Anglers like to stay on the sandbank at the mouth of the Dobelbach, where pike, eels and zander are to be caught. As jetties and slips are available, boating enthusiasts will also get their money's worth. Directly on the water is also the inviting playground with a climbing frame and swing.

The 31 km long, signposted circular cycle route around Lake Waginger leads through a gentle hilly landscape and scores with fantastic views of the Berchtesgaden and Chiemgau Alps. The proximity to the village of Waging am See provides numerous shopping facilities. Nestled in the wooded mountain ranges of the southeast Bavarian Alpine foothills, the campsite is the ideal starting point for trips to Chiemgau, Berchtesgadener Land or the Salzkammergut.

Directions to Camping Schwanenplatz

From the A8 Munich-Salzburg motorway, take exit 112 Traunstein-Siegsdorf and turn left onto the B306 in the direction of Traunstein. After 6 km at Traunstein go through the tunnel. After the tunnel turn right onto St2105 towards Waging am See. After 10 km at the roundabout in Waging take the second exit on the right towards Tittmoning, Waginger See. After 400 m turn right onto St2104 in the direction of Freilassing/Gaden. In 1 km in Gaden turn left to the site.
