Alan Rogers Review of Camping Saint Pons
Camping Saint Pons enjoys an attractive setting within walking distance of the delightful family resort of Le Lavandou. This is a relatively small, quiet and uncomplicated site extending over two hectares, with many flowering shrubs and bushes. There are 155 pitches here, well shaded and of a fair size. All have electrical connections. A number of mobile homes are available to rent. There is no shop on site but there is a supermarket just 300 m. away. There is also a bar and restaurant next door. The Littoral cycle track runs close to the site and provides an appealing way of exploring the coast and a number of pretty Provençal villages.
Saint Pons is a relaxed site with little by way of on-site entertainment which will be welcomed by many in this otherwise busy area. Le Lavandou is also one of the Riviera’s more restrained resorts, named apparently after the river where local women came to do their washing because the water was so soft. The village boasts no fewer than 12 beaches, some wide and sandy, and others tiny, rocky coves. All can be reached by travelling on a small tourist train that runs along the coast. Boat trips are possible to the Ile du Levant, home to Heliopolis, Europe’s first naturist resort, and also to the better known island of Porquerolles and as far afield as Saint Tropez. Visitors to the site can obtain a reduction in cost for these trips. Good English is spoken.

Two clean sanitary blocks with controllable pushbutton showers. Accessible Wet room. Laundry facilities. Play area. Boules. New sports field. Mobile homes to rent. Dogs are not accepted 5/7-26/8.
