Roznov pod Radhostem is halfway up the Roznovska Becva valley amidst the scenic Beskydy hills, which extend from North Moravia into Poland in the extreme east of the Republic. It is a busy tourist centre which attracts visitors to the Wallachian open-air museum and those who enjoy hill walking and cycling along the various trails.

This is a well-laid-out site, benefitting from regular investment and innovation. There are 300 pitches (200 for touring units), and 120 have an electrical connection (16A). Some pitches are rather small, although there are some recently landscaped pitches of 90-100 sq.m. They are mostly level and grassy, with a sprinkling of mature trees that add character and shade. A children's mini-zoo with farmyard animals is popular with youngsters.

Although right by a main road with some traffic noise, the site is surrounded by trees and hills and was reasonably quiet during our visit. The friendly manager will be pleased to advise on local attractions. Camping Roznov makes a good base for exploring this interesting part of Moravia.

Facilities at Camping Roznov

The good-quality central toilet block has hot water in showers, washbasins and sinks. Accessible sanitary facilities, This block also has a large, comfortable TV lounge/meeting room. A further well-equipped toilet block has washbasins and WCs en-suite for ladies and a washing machine. Shop with basics and fresh bread (High season). Restaurant (High season). Swimming pool (High season). Tennis. Trampolines.
