With scenic views across the water and the surrounding mountains, this site is directly on the shore of Lake Maggiore. Under the same ownership as Valle Romantica, the site has a well cared for appearance. Over 250 numbered pitches are on flat grass, either side of hard surfaced access roads and divided by mature trees and shrubs giving good shade. There are 210 with 6A electricity (long cables may be needed). The site could make a suitable base for exploring the area, although progress on the winding lakeside road may be slow!

There is easy access to the lake for boats, swimming and other watersports. Sailing and windsurfing regattas are organised nearby. The Swiss border is very close providing many options for sightseeing.

Five sanitary blocks are of good quality and two of these include accessible facilities. Washing machines. Fridge boxes for hire. Gas supplies. Motorhome services. Well stocked shop. Bar/restaurants with covered terrace, providing waiter service and takeaway. Fishing (licence required). Boat slipway. New children’s playground. WiFi over site (charged).

Directions to Camping Riviera

Cannobio is 4 km. from the Swiss border on the SS34 Locarno-Verbania road. The site is north of the town, at the lakeside (on the east). Entrance is a few metres north of the bridge over the river, just before tennis courts.
