This is a much sought-after campsite, and booking is highly recommended; being only 6km from the centre of Annecy, the 90 pitches are taken very quickly, and the site seemed very popular with visitors from the U.K. The road down to the site is really a single track for the last few hundred meters and can become congested, particularly around 2.00 p.m. when check-in opens; I would suggest arriving a little later to avoid this. Check-in was good and efficient, and English was spoken. Once on site, you find well-spaced pitches divided by low hedging, all with tree shade and all easily walkable to the shoreline of Lake Annecy.

Facilities on the site are very clean and modern, and the site offers fresh bread to order, a laundry room, free WiFi, and cycle rental, the site does not have a shop as there are two large supermarkets within walking distance, and neither does it have a bar. However, you can purchase a good bottle of local beer from reception.

The campsite borders Lake Annecy with its own small private beach and mooring for small boats. The lake water is very clean, and there are opportunities nearby for a wide range of activities on and off the water. You can also get a ferry from the site direct to Annecy; please check the table at reception for this and the regular bus service, which offers great views of the Lake as it follows the shoreline.

Annecy, known as the ‘town of art’, has a castle museum, cathedral, ancient prisons, markets, fairs and a wide range of shops, bars, restaurants, etc, is only 7 km. to the north. There are many other interesting old towns and villages in the area.

A new, modern toilet block provides excellent facilities for all, including Accessible facilities, Laundry facilities. Lake fishing, bathing and boating. Children's playground, Bicycle hire. Boules. Table tennis, Communal barbecue. Charcoal barbecues are not permitted. WiFi throughout (free).

Leave N508 6 km. south of Annecy at Sévrier. Turn left just beyond Lidl supermarket on the C3, signed Grand Prés. Follow site signs to site in 800 m.
