There are some campsites where you can be comfortable, have all the amenities at hand and still feel you are connecting with nature. Under the pine and eucalyptus trees of the Bay of Taranto foreshore is Camping Riva di Ugento. Its 1000 pitches nestle in and around the sand dunes and the foreshore area.
They have space and trees around them and differ in size since the environment dictates the shape of many. The sea is only a short walk from most pitches and some are at the water’s edge. The site buildings resemble huge wooden umbrellas and are in sympathy with the environment.
The swimming pool area includes an oval pool with fresh water and a small shallow pool for the enjoyment of the little ones. The deck chairs and umbrellas, with the lifeguard service, are available to guests to offer maximum relaxation.
A free cinema screens special events via satellite TV near the main bar and restaurant area. The area is sandy but well shaded, and the sea breezes scented with pine give the site a cool, fresh feel. This site has an isolated, natural ambience that defies its size. Along the kilometre of beach, the pitches offer tranquillity – shaded, private and inviting.

Directions to Camping Riva di Ugento
From Bari take the Brindisi road to Lecce, then SS101 to Gallipoli, then the SR274 towards Santa Maria di Leuca. Continue to Felline exit, and continue towards Torre San Giovanni, following the signs for Riva di Ugento. Site is well signed, turn right at traffic lights on SS19.
