This very friendly, 35 pitch site has easy access from the A12/E60 Arlberg-Innsbruck autobahn and being in a small town with numerous supermarkets, restaurants and bars makes it a good stopover point as well as a comfortable base from which to tour this interesting region, through which the Via Claudia Augusta, the Roman route linking Venice with Germany, once passed. The pitches (40-70 sq.m) are grassed, accessed by hard roads and all have 10A electricity. Established by the present owners in 1956, much care and attention has gone into a fairly small plot, but there are no on-site refreshments or activities.

The Tirol West Card is available free at reception and permits free bus travel as well as free entry to many of the region’s attractions, and reductions at others. There are great opportunities for hiking, cycling and river sports, with a co-operative link to an English-owned sporting firm in the village. Open all year, Camping Riffler attracts many regular groups of watersports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. Ski fans have their own storage facilities from November till May. When fast flowing, the adjacent river is audible.

The small toilet block has been rebuilt to a good standard. Washing machine and spin dryer. Fridge for campers’ use. Ski and boot storage. Small general room with TV. Fishing.

Directions to Camping Riffler

Site is at the western end of Landeck. Take exit for Landeck-West from the A12 and turn right towards Landeck. Site is on the left after the roundabout. It is situated beside a shopping area.
