Camping Zugspitze is a top quality campsite, open all year and set in the Zugspitze region of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the far south of Germany, close to the borders of Austria and Liechtenstein. This is one of the most beautiful tourist regions in Germany and the site has wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.

Camping Zugspitz makes an ideal base for hiking, biking and winter sports, with plenty of opportunities to discover this wonderful area. There are 125 large (80-130sq m), level pitches, many on hardstandings. They are all fully serviced (16A Europlug) with gas connections, and 50 have their own private bathrooms. Rock pegs are advised.

The Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany, towers over the site and a cable car journey affords stunning views over four different countries.

Garmish Partenkirchen, one of Germany’s premier winter and summer resorts, has everything an active holidaymaker could wish for; it is just 3 km. away and can be reached by a bus that stops outside the site. King Ludwig’s fairytale castle at Neuschwanstein is an easy day trip and should not be missed.

Leave Garmisch-Partenkirchen, take B23 southwest towards Grainau, after about 1 km turn left. Site signed.
