Alan Rogers Review of Camping Pré Fixe
Camping Pré Fixe is a friendly family site, located on a sunny south-facing slope. The site is a member of La Via Natura, a small group of campsites in attractive rural settings, with a strong environmental awareness. There are 43 good sized, level, grassy pitches (80-100 sq.m), most with electricity (6/10A), and some with views across to the distant Pyrenees. Some site roads are steep (but the owner can assist with his tractor if necessary) and a maximum unit length of seven metres is suggested. The site is well equipped with a bistro and wine bar serving local food and drinks, as well as a swimming pool and small shop.
Pré Fixe is a perfect place for sitting back and doing nothing, but there is plenty to do in the area, including cycling and hiking, and all the details are in the welcome brochure given on arrival. For the more adventurous, this is great country for adventure sports, with rafting, potholing and canyoning all on offer. The surrounding Haute Garonne countryside has a great deal to offer, including the stunning medieval village of Aurignac, and a little further afield, day trips to Albi, Toulouse, Lourdes and Carcassonne are all feasible.

Chalets and safari-style tents to rent. Communal barbecue. WiFi in bar (free).
Directions to Camping Pré Fixe
Site is close to Cassagnabere-Tournas, south of Toulouse. Approaching from Toulouse on A64 motorway, leave at Boussens exit (no. 21) and follow the northbound D635 as far as Cassagnabere-Tournas. The site is well signed from here.
