Alan Rogers Review
Set in the heart of the idyllic countryside, Camping Polleur is a real family campsite in the Belgian Ardennes. Lying in the valley of the river Hoëgne, on the edge of the woods near the village of Polleur, it's a peaceful spot.
There's plenty of interest in the area, including the historic town of Spa, 10 minutes drive away and famous for its health-giving mineral waters. Elegant Liège and historic Theux (5 km), with its ruined medieval castle, are nearby too.
With an outdoor adventure centre on the doorstep, there is something for everyone with hiking, kayaking, quad biking and mountain biking. Various hiking and biking trails start from the campsite itself and meander through the glorious countryside and the wooded slopes.
Two modern toilet blocks with free showers and baby/toddler washing facilities. Swimming pool (10m x 15m) with waterslide, children's pool (40cm deep) and toddlers' pool (15 cm deep). Small shop (High season), bar/snack bar/restaurant (restricted outside high season). Laundrette, dishwashers. Three playgrounds. Bike rental, quad bikes, kayaking nearby, fishing lake, table tennis, boules. Entertainment (High season). WiFi.
