Situated a short distance from the bustling seaside town of Laredo and easily accessible from Santander and Bilbao, Camping Playa del Regaton is an ideal stopover for those en route to the ferries. The site has direct access to the beach and the estuary of the Ria del Ason and is an important marsh area for migrating birds.

Of the 125 small pitches, 100 are for touring and have 6/10A electricity and a sink. All are on level grass, with mature trees providing separation and a degree of shade. The site is popular with Spanish holidaymakers. The owners and their staff are keen to ensure you enjoy your stay. Limited English is spoken outside the high season.

You will find a selection of restaurants and bodegas just a short walk away from the site. Try a ‘menu del dia’ which comprises a two course meal with bread and wine for around 12 euros. Nearby is Playa la Salué, a 7 km. beach with opportunities for a variety of watersports. A broad, paved promenade is ideal for cycling and leads into Laredo. If are on holiday here towards the end of August, don’t miss the famous ‘Batalla de Flores’ (Battle of the Flowers), where large decorated floats weave their way through the town.

Directions to Camping Playa del Regaton

From the A8 (Santander-Bilbao) take exit 172 to Laredo. Straight on at roundabout signed hospital and beaches. Do not go into Laredo. At traffic lights turn left, site is well signed on left, 500 m. past hospital.
