Camping Pfronten is located in the small town of Pfronten, Bavaria, in the mountains of the Allgäu Alps, right on the border with Austria. It is just beautiful here and so, so quiet. There is a small bar on-site and a small shop that offers a fresh bread delivery service. For the younger members of the family, there is also a children's playground with a climbing frame, swings, and see-saws. On-site, you will find 108 touring pitches with electric hook-up points available.

There is a cable car to the top of the Breitenberg within easy walking distance, or you can walk up. There is a small train station that takes you to Kempten (worth a visit) or Garmisch Partenkirchen via Austria. There is a bus service to lovely Füssen and beyond, where the beautiful Neuschwanstein castle is situated. The site offers an ideal starting point for various activities such as hiking, cycling and mountain biking. Pfronten Reid is 2 miles away and has some small supermarkets, other interesting shops, and a train and bus service. Within walking distance is a hotel for meals and plenty more on the route to Pfronten Reid. There is an outdoor pool approx. 3 miles away. If you feel fit enough, you can hire bikes in Pfronten Reid and explore the little lanes around the town. The site is closed between 1 and 3 p.m., but staff are available for check-in or anything urgent. The site has 108 grass touring pitches with a 16-amp hook-up point.

Directions to Camping Pfronten

From Germany on the A7 at junction 137 in the direction of Füssen go through the border tunnel and then take the Vils exit. Go through Vils and Schönbichl and the site is then on the left.

From Austria on the B179 Fernpassstraße in the direction of Füssen take exit Vils. go through Vils and Schönbichl, the site is then on the left.
