Baita Dolomiti is a family campsite located in a splendid mountain region. It was very quiet when we visited in early June, but apparently becomes quite lively in high season, with plenty of organised entertainment for young and old. There is a rustic bar and restaurant providing typical local meals. The 130 grass touring pitches all have 3-6A electricity and, although they are not large, there is a great sense of space. The Val di Non is a wonderful area for walking and cycling and the more adventurous can explore the canyons on foot or by boat.

The Dolomiti golf course is reported to be one of the most beautiful and technically interesting in the Alps and is just 1 km. from the site. Special rates have been agreed for guests at Baita Dolomiti. There are also other attractive golf courses within easy reach. The cool canyons in Val di Non have various guided tours with differing durations and levels of fitness required. The nearby wildlife park has native brown bears and wolves along with other local species. Younger members are able to let off steam at the nearby adrenalin park.

Two toilet blocks are well equipped and maintained, with a mixture of British and squat style WCs, controllable showers, baby room and hot water to all washbasins and sinks. Accessibe facilities (in one block). Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Bar/restaurant. Swimming and paddling pools (1/6-30/9). Play area. Dogs are not accepted 1/8-15/9.

Directions to Camping Park Baita Dolomiti

From A22 (Brenner-Modena) take exit for S Michele/Mezzocorona. Turn right on SS43 (Val di Non) and follow signs for Cles, turning northeast after 20 km. on SS43D towards Fondo. Continue 14 km. to Sarnonico where site is signed. We are told the route from Merano via the Gampen Pass is possible. Avoid the route from Bolzano via the Mendel Pass, especially if towing.
