Tucked away in a pine forest close to an interesting little seaside town at the northern end of the Médoc peninsula, this family run site offers a range of possibilities for holidaymakers. It has just 150 pitches of which 75 are available for touring units; electrical connections (6A) are available for 60 and 10 pitches also have individual taps and waste water drains. There are various styles of mobile home for rent as well as a number of pre-erected, well equipped tents. The beach is within easy reach, just 800 m. from the site, through woodland. This environmentally friendly site has a small permaculture garden and animal area aimed at educating children to understand the natural world.

Visits to local vineyards can be arranged and a wine tasting evening takes place each week on site. The Atlantic beaches provide a wide choice of water-based activities, whilst the adjacent pine forest offers endless opportunities to walkers and cyclists. The vineyards of the Médoc lie to the south, with many offering visits and tastings, and to the east is the Gironde estuary; a ferry from the Pointe de Grave at Le Verdon-sur-Mer to the north will take you across the mouth of the estuary to Royan. Other possible destinations for days out include the Bay of Arcachon and the massive Dune de Pyla, and in complete contrast, the bustling city of Bordeaux.

Directions to Camping Paradis des Pins

Soulac-sur-Mer is 90 km. north-west of Bordeaux. From the A630 Bordeaux Rocade leave at exit 8 (Le Verdon, Lacanau) and head north on D1215 to Soulac. Site is to south of town via D101 and D101/E2 (signed L’Amélie and site). Alternatively turn west before Soulac along minor road (not signed).
