Formerly named Toscana Colliverdi, this site is slowly developing. A small country hillside site in Tuscany, it has space for 45 large units on deep terraces and two areas for tents. All the terrace pitches have 3/5A electricity. There are panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. If you are content to be self-supporting and wish to explore Tuscany with the advantage of reasonable campsite fees, then this could be for you. A small bar with a tiny terrace offers welcoming cool drinks, excellent coffee, aperitif with local products, fresh bread and good breakfast in the mornings. Other supplies and good restaurants are available in the village of Marcialla 700 m. away.
The site is well positioned to visit the many historic and cultural places of interest in the area, including the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci which is very close by. A new pool set above ground is inviting after a hot day, maybe after exploring the nearby castle. The site is dark at night and the centre steps are a challenge so a good torch is required. One part of the access road is tarmac, the other rough gravel – large units should use the tarmac for ease of access on the steep slopes.
