Camping Ötztal Längenfeld, a family run site, is at the edge of the pretty village of Längenfeld, tucked into the valley between steep forested mountain slopes. This site has been greatly enhanced by the addition of new tarmac roads and the refurbishment of most grass pitches to all-weather standards. In summer, the campsite is ideal for walking and cycling, as well as mountaineering tours. In the winter you can enjoy cross-country skiing right from the doorstep and a free bus shuttle operates to the Ötztal Ski arena. There are 198 level grass pitches of which 100 are for tourers. All have 12A electricity and 68 also have gas, water, drainage and a TV point.

There are many seasonal units, but these are attractive and well maintained. The central sanitary block is one of the best we have seen. The scenic drive down the Ötztal Valley is delightful and typifies the beautify this part of Austria, with many examples of the traditional farming life of the Tirol. Like us, you may be lucky enough to spot one of the black squirrels that thrive in the surrounding woods.

Directions to Camping Ötztal Längenfeld

From A12 take exit 123 and follow the 186 along the Ötztal Valley towards Sölden for 20 km. On entering Längenfeld, continue up hill into town and shortly after tourist information office on right there are signs for site. Enter through yard and follow lane past sports centre to entrance.
