Oranjezon (orange sun) is an environmentally conscious, family run site located close to the sand dunes of the Schouwen-Duiveland peninsula. It is a pleasant fifteen minute stroll to the beach following a path across a nature reserve and through the dunes to the sea. There are 400 pitches here varying in size and price but all have 6/10A electricity. On-site amenities include a swimming pool with separate shallow area for young children, two children’s playgrounds and an area with chickens, ducks and goats. The campsite store stocks essentials, newspapers and some household items; fresh bread is available every morning.

The local beach is reached only on foot via a good path with steps over the high dunes. Its has toilets and a large beach pavilion offering a variety of refreshments. The best ways to reach alternative beaches which have similar facilities is by bicycle. Outside high season, the campsite café/snack bar is only open at weekends but Oostkapelle and Domburg are nearby with bars and restaurants. The town of Veere is a pleasant trip with opportunities to reach Middelburg by boat. Two smaller islands were combined to form Shouwen-Duiveland, as a part of a land reclamation project.

Two main sanitary units are modern and have free showers, colourful children’s areas, a family room and accessible facilities. There are four smaller units around the site. Additional private sanitary units on 18 pitches. Motorhome services. Shop. Café/restaurant. Snack bar. Swimming pool. Paddling pool. Wellness area with sauna, cold tub and solarium. Play areas. Small animal area for children. Activity team (high season; under 13s). WiFi over site (charged).

Directions to Camping Oranjezon

From A58 motorway, take exit for Domburg (N57) and follow signs for Oostkapelle. After St. Laurens. At Serooskerke continue towards Oostkapelle/Domburg (N287). After 3 km. (immediately after green/white hotel) turn right into Munnikweg. Continue for 2.5 km. turn left campsite access road. Entrance is 200 m. on right.
