This is a basic, very French site with one outstanding feature: it has direct access to a wonderful sandy beach stretching almost as far as the eye can see in both directions. There are 80 level touring pitches, all with electricity (3-10A), and a further 90 pitches with mobile homes of which 7 are available for hire. A row of pitches on top of the dyke enables motorhome owners only to look out across the sands – and to feel the sea breezes! The site is close to Caen, the ferry terminal at Ouistreham and the Pegasus Bridge museum at Bénouville.

Facilities at Camping Oasis

Two small traditional sanitary blocks include accessible facilities. Pushbutton showers (token) and washbasins in cubicles. In high season a further block of showers is made available. Washing machine and dryer. Motorhome services. Restaurant with limited choice. Play area. Reception with tourist information (some English spoken). Direct beach access. Beach and sea fishing. WiFi.

Directions to Camping Oasis

Merville-Franceville is 18 km. northeast of Caen. From A13 motorway at exit for Cabourg turn north on D400 and in 12 km. turn west on D400A to Cabourg Plage. Turn west on D514 to Merville-Franceville. Site is east of town.
