This is a typically unpretentious, basic municipal site providing 60 pitches set on level grass amongst apple trees, with hard access roads. All pitches have electricity (10A). The site is next to tennis courts and a sports centre. The site is ideally situated within about five minutes level walking distance of the centre of this historic little town (the first town in France to be liberated by the Allies), with its war museum and strategic position near the Normandy landing beaches. Look for the parachutist hanging from the 13th-century church. Reception is open limited hours (09.00-12.00, and 17.30-20.30).
Facilities at Camping Municipal Sainte Mère-Eglise
Sanitary facilities are utilitarian but adequate, providing hot showers, British style WCs (plus one accessible unit) and some washbasins in cabins. Maintenance and cleaning may suffer in high season. Bread may be ordered and ice-creams are sold at reception. Games room and small play area. WiFi throughout (free).
