La Grigne must be one of the largest municipal sites around, with 700 pitches, 666 available for touring units, and 34 occupied by mobile homes for hire. The main attraction here is the long sandy beach which is a 600 m. walk through the pines. Set on undulating, sandy grassland under mature pines, the pitches are large and informally laid out, marked by numbered concrete posts. Around half are equipped with electricity connections (10A). Access is good even for larger units. This is a quiet site for a few days break away from it all perhaps, but for a seaside holiday there are sites nearby that are both closer to the beach and with better facilities.

Facilities at Camping Municipal la Grigne

Eight good, if small, toilet blocks, all of which can be heated in cold weather. They may be under pressure in peak times. Washing machines and dryers. Supermarket (1/6-30/9). Bakery. Snack bar and pizzeria (July/Aug). Play area. Children’s club (8-13 yrs). Tennis. Minigolf. Multisports pitch. Games room outside site gates. Bicycle hire.

Directions to Camping Municipal la Grigne

From Bordeaux ring-motorway D660 take D106 (Cap Ferret). After 25 km. turn off the D106 to Lege. Drive through Lege to Le Porge and in village turn left towards Le Porge Océan. Site is 9 km. on the left. Site is well signed all the way from the D106.
