Alan Rogers Review of Camping Municipal de Paron
Fougères boasts the oldest medieval castle in Brittany and is just one kilometre away from this municipal site with 90 pitches of a good size, enclosed by rows of shrubs. Most are on flat grass, with 18 level hardstandings available and 55 have electricity (5/10A) and water adjacent. Situated within a sports centre, indoor and outdoor pools, a BMX track and tennis courts are available to use. The GR34 and GR37 hiking trails are also at the edge of the forest. Road noise affects pitches on one side of the site and large school groups taken during holidays can put facilities under pressure. However, this is a useful overnight stop.
Facilities at Camping Municipal de Paron
The toilet block provides washbasins in cabins and large showers (hot water 07.00-10.00, 12.00-14.00, 19.00-22.00). Washing machines and dryers. No shop but mobile baker tours the site about 8 am. Office open 9-11am, 5-8 pm. American style motorhomes are not accepted.
