Alan Rogers Review of Camping Mühleye
Camping Schwimmbad Mühleye is a popular family site located in the Valais near the busy centre of Visp. The site has 199 grassy pitches, 160 for touring units with 18A electricity, ranging in size from 80-150 sq.m, including 20 very large (150 sq.m) pitches (with electricity, water and drainage). Although the pitches are marked and numbered, the site has a relaxed informal appearance with plenty of space between units. The valley and mountain views are typically Swiss. The town of Visp is a 15 minute walk away, from where it is easy to explore the area by bus and train. Saas Fee, Zermatt and the Matterhorn are all within reach.
The site’s reception, restaurant and bar have been completely rebuilt to a most attractive design. Next to the site is a magnificent heated pool complex for both adults and children, which is open from May to September. Campers are entitled to entry at reduced rates when paid with camping fees and is free between 18.00 and 19.00. There are also special package rates for weekly and monthly stays.
Facilities at Camping Mühleye
New central sanitary block is modern and spacious. Accessible Facilities. Washing machines and dryers. Free use of fridges and freezers. Motorhome services. Two children’s play areas and an indoor play room if wet. Large covered sitting area with tables and chairs. Extensive information for walking, hiking and mountain biking. Internet access. WiFi throughout (free).
Directions to Camping Mühleye
From the direction of Brig on the E62/19, drive through the town and turn right at the Socar station and VW garage, where Mühleye is clearly signed. Follow signs to the site. From the west, watch for the petrol station on the left.
