Camping Mayrhofen (formerly Camping Kröll) stands back from the B169 road 1 km. north of Mayrhofen between the mountains on either side of the valley. The site has 200 level pitches of gravel on grass, all with 16A electricity. There are a few trees, but little shade, pitches are rather narrow and units can be close together. Modern buildings house reception a recently refurbished restaurant and bar and a small heated pool which extends to the outside where there is a grass area for relaxing (all open 16/12-4/11). Little English is spoken here. WiFi over site (charged).

The town of Mayrhofen, in the pretty Zillertal Valley that runs south from the A12 Innsbruck-Worgl autobahn and then east over the Gerlos Pass through to the A10 Salzburg-Spittal motorway, is a very popular summer and winter resort. The picturesque narrow gauge Zillertalbahn winds its way along the valley following the River Ziller.

Good quality sanitary provision has been refurbished to include private cabins and accessible facilities. Baby room. Private bathrooms to rent. Washing machine and dryer. Shop (limited supplies). Bar/restaurant (also with rooms to let) also provides limited food supplies. Grill. Small heated pool. Sauna, steam room and solarium. Playground. Games, TV and a children’s room. Bicycle hire. Ski room and drying rooms.

Directions to Camping Mayrhofen

Site is on northern side of Mayrhofen and signed from the B169 (approaching from the north, on your left hand side). Note: Access road has a 3.5 km. weight restriction – but this is the only access to site.
