In a fairly remote area close to the N340, away from the beaches and town at Los Gallardos is a pseudo English enclave. There are over 384 pitches of which 114 are for touring units the remainder are for long stay campers and static units. The pitches are flat and a good size with hard clay and gravel surface, electricity (10/15A), 15 also have water and waste water, but little shade. We see this as a transit site rather than for longer stays, however bowls enthusiasts may argue otherwise. This is a popular site, so the facilities can be stretched at times.

The newly refurbished restaurant serves British style food and has an early, budget sitting. A large ballroom on site allows for winter entertainment and indoor activities. Free WiFi is available in the bar or you can pay for access to a network across the site. Transport is required to access shops and local facilities however a small shop on site sells essentials and there is a free bus service to the local market. A large new salt water swimming pool was built in 2009, with a large patio around it for sunbathing, and surrounded by gardens, with ample changing rooms. Twin bowling greens form a pleasant oasis within the site.

The central sanitary block has a hot tap for dishwashing and laundry. Washing machines and dryer. Good motorhome service facilities. Gas supplies. Small shop with English foodstuffs and fresh bread each day. Bar, restaurant (English breakfasts, Sunday roasts etc). Swimming pool. Keep fit sessions. Bowling greens. Boules. Exchange library for books and videos, and jigsaw puzzle hire. Excursions. WiFi (charged).

Directions to Camping Los Gallardos

Leave E15 at km. 525 (caution there are no camping signs). Take road signed Los Gallardos, at the bottom of the dip turn right under the 340 then left on exit. The site is 300 m. along the track.
