L’Océane is located six kilometres from the fine sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast and under two kilometres from Lake Leon and the heart of the Landes forest. There are 99 pitches, 41 for tourers, all with electricity (10A). They are mainly typically French in style, separated by low hedges and with reasonable shade from mature pine trees. During high season, there is an entertainment programme for all ages, and for those wishing to visit the beach and lake, a free minibus is available. Reception is closed between 12.00 and 14.00.
The lake offers opportunity for watersports and fishing, there are restaurants and bars, a trim track, plus plenty of cycle routes through the extensive forest on smooth cycle tracks. Bordeaux, the capital of the region, with its famous vineyards, is just an hour away by car. Especially famous for their Medoc, Sauternes and Saint Emilion wines, most châteaux allow visits to their cellars and offer wine tastings. The Atlantic coast with its superb beaches and surfing is just six kilometres to the west, while the stylish resorts of Capbreton and Biarritz make good days out.

Refurbished toilet blocks include washbasins in cabins and accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. No motorhome service point. Bar, piano bar, snack bar and takeaway (limited hours outside high season). Swimming pool (heated 28/6-14/9) and children’s pool. Tennis. Pétanque. Multisports pitch. Barbecue hire. Bicycle hire. Play area. Bouncy castle. Entertainment programme for adults and children. No charcoal barbecues. WiFi over site (charged). Night security guard.
