Alan Rogers Review of Camping Lido
Camping Lido is one of the largest and amongst the best of the 120 campsites around Lake Garda and is situated at the southeast corner of the lake. There is quite a slope from the entrance down to the lake, so many of the 561 grass touring pitches are on terraces which afford lovely views across the lake. They are of varying sizes, separated by hedges, all have 6A Europlug electricity connections. A number of pitches by the lake have 10A electricity, water and two hours free WiFi daily. This is a most attractive site with tall, neatly trimmed trees standing like sentinels on either side of the broad avenue that runs from the entrance right down to the lake.
A wide variety of trees provide shade on some pitches and flowers add colour to the overall appearance. Near the top of the site are two large, well designed pools with slides into splash pools. A pool bar provides refreshment and there is a fitness centre for those who wish to stay in shape. The site has its own beach with a landing stage that marks off a large area for swimming on one side and on the other an area where boats can be moored. One could happily spend all the holiday here without leaving the site but with so many attractions nearby this would be a pity.
Facilities at Camping Lido
New toilet blocks have accessible facilities (key access) and family rooms. Private sanitary facilities can be booked. Washing machines and dryer. Motorhome services. Fridge rental. Restaurant, bars, pizzeria, takeaway and well stocked supermarket (all season). Swimming pools, paddling pool and slides. Superb fitness centre. Playground. Tennis. Bicycle hire. Watersports. Fishing. Activity programme (high season). Shingle beach with landing stage and mooring for boats. WiFi (charged).
Directions to Camping Lido
Leave A4 Milan-Venice motorway at exit for Peschiera. Head north on east side of lake on the SS249. Site entrance on left after Gardaland theme park.
