The site is just off the main N21 road near Pont Saint Mamet, mid-way between Bergerac and Périgueux. There are 104 large pitches, most are flat, shaded and wooded, some on more sloping open meadow with views across the valley and others on flat ground beside the lake. Pitches are marked and all have electricity (6/10A), some requiring long leads. The swimming pool and small lake with diving platform and beach encourage longer stays. A pleasant, shaded patio terrace under vines and maples leads to a general room with a bar and a separate room for young people with amusement machines (July/Aug).

This quiet and charming campsite is well situated for exploring the western side of the Dordogne and the Bergerac vineyards. There are many British and Dutch visitors, but no tour operators. Good English is spoken by the friendly Dutch owners.

Three toilet blocks include baby baths, large family room and accessible facilities. Washing machine and dryers. Small shop. Bar. Snack bar/takeaway. Swimming pool (unsupervised) and paddling pool. Excellent adventure style play area. Boules. Fishing. Children’s club and organised activities in July/Aug. Library. Small lake with diving platform. Accommodation to rent. WiFi in bar area.

Directions to Camping Lestaubière

Site is 19 km. northeast of Bergerac. From N21 Bergerac-Périgueux road take exit for Pont St Mamet. Site is 500 m. north of the village, on the eastern side of the road, and is well signed.
