Friendly and family run by a new owner, this small campsite is surrounded by fields and vineyards and should appeal to those seeking a more relaxed holiday. It lies at the foot of Mont Ventoux and is close to the Nesque Gorge (1 km). It is probably not the ideal site for active youngsters. The 78 compact pitches are attractively laid out and arranged in groups of five. There are 70 for touring units, separated by a variety of trees and shrubs, and with 10A electricity connections (long leads may be necessary). Near the attractive swimming pool is the bar with its shaded terrace – a pleasant place to relax after a day sightseeing.
This is a site that will appeal to those who want to enjoy a more leisurely stay in an area known for its landscape rather than conventional tourist attractions. The charming village of Villes-sur-Auzon with its shops, restaurants and helpful tourist office is within easy walking distance. The ascent of the Mont Ventoux is of course a world-famous challenge for cyclists, but there are many far easier routes suitable for families on the plain around the site.

Two toilet blocks, the buildings are old but have been refurbished to a high standard, one is heated in low season. Motorhome services. Bar (all season). Swimming pool (1/5-30/9). Tennis. Minigolf. Boules. Small games/TV room. Internet point. WiFi in some areas (charged).
Directions to Camping les Verguettes
Leave A7 at exit 22 just south of Orange and take D950 to Carpentras. Take D942 east signed Sault and Mazan. Site is 10 km. on right just after a roundabout on entering village of Villes-sur-Auzon.
