Alan Rogers Review of Camping les Trois Caupain
A superb, mature, ex-municipal site, les Trois Caupain is less than 1 km. from Le Bugue, which has a range of supermarkets and tourist attractions. The site carefully blends mobile homes and camping pitches, and fruiting plum trees abound on the site. The 119 well marked touring pitches are neat, level and mostly shaded, with water and 6-16A electricity hook ups close by (16 are full service). The current owners, the three Caupain family members, will do all they can to make your stay a pleasant one. The campsite is less than 50 metres away from the river in an area that is popular with tourists.
Le Bugue is a delightful town where you can get a coffee, beer, a quality meal, or just stroll around looking at the sights, including the lovely river La Vézère. One area, Le Bournat, has been developed within walking distance of the site where you can journey in time to a 1900 village setting – even a working windmill grinds the corn to make flour for the baker. Monsieur Caupain is very understanding of the needs of teenagers and has provided a small building away from the pitches which has benches and little else but is a place for them to mingle without disturbing site visitors. The medieval city of Sarlat-la-Canéda is less than 29 km. away.
Facilities at Camping les Trois Caupain
Two clean and well maintained sanitary blocks include accessible toilet and shower. Excellent laundry room. Baby room with bath. Motorhome services. Small shop selling local produce all season. Bar with pool table and TV. Restaurant with terrace (May-Aug). Takeaway. Heated swimming pool and paddling pool (1/5-30/10). Play area. Boules. Fishing. Twice weekly entertainment in high season. WiFi in bar area.

From Le Bugue, take D703 heading southeast and site is less than 1 km. from the town centre, well signed. Turn right off the main road and site is less than 800 m. along this road on the left.
