The site is situated on the banks of the Loire, just a few miles from the A77 motorway and as such is well placed as an overnight stopover point. There are 85 pitches, 59 for touring all with 10A electricity. However, it should also be considered for longer stays as it is close to the medieval town of Sancerre which is perched high on a hill and surrounded by vine-covered slopes. Visit the village of Chavignol where you can taste the wine and cheese direct from the producer. There are facilities for tennis, canoeing and bicycle hire just outside the site and a baker is just five minutes walk.
Two gates along the riverside perimeter of the site provide access to the walking and cycling route along the River Loire. This will also take you into St Satur via the lock and the canal.

One toilet block with toilets, washbasins and showers. Baby room. Facilities for disabled visitors (separate). Motorhome service point. Water taps in short supply. Washing machine and dryer. Small shop with limited stock at reception. Fresh bread (1/5-31/8). Small play area. Boules. Volleyball. Multisports area. Canoe and kayak hire. Fishing (charged). Communal barbecue. WiFi throughout (free).
Location
Leave A77 at exit 24 and join the D4 signed St Satur. Cross the river Loire and immediately turn right into rue Quai de Loire. Site is 300 m. along this road on the right.
