Located just 500 metres from the largest freshwater lake in France, this level, well maintained campsite is only ten minutes’ drive from the beach and, with its own pool, is an attractive holiday site for those who enjoy watersports. Of the 300 pitches, 232 are for touring units. These are marked but not actually separated and arranged amongst tall pines and other trees that give good shade. All have electricity (10A). The site’s amenities are arranged around a pleasant entrance courtyard with an evening entertainment programme in season. In low season, this is a quiet site with the added bonus of the bar and restaurant being open.
Visits to many of the châteaux and vineyards in the area are possible and the site owners will organise excursions to these. The Landes forest is a short drive away and provides many kilometres of smooth cycle tracks under the shade of the tall pine trees. Ten kilometres to the west of the site, the Atlantic Ocean is ideal for surfing opportunities as well as the usual seaide activities.
